How fit do I have to be to attend classes?
Fitness level is not important for the beginner. The majority of new students of all ages and of both sexes are unfit. The instructor recognises this and you will be taught according to your fitness level. Regular training will increase your fitness and you will appreciate the benefits!

What do I wear?
For beginners, shorts/tracksuits and T-shirt are fine for training. The club provides a free Kickboxing suit to all fully paid up members. No other special clothing is needed to get started.

Is Karate Suitable For Women?
Without exception, yes! Most women today are well aware of the need to look after themselves. Kickboxing is unique in helping to make one aware of oneself. Kickboxing is high on aerobic fitness so one can achieve good body tone as well as learning to defend oneself. Kickboxing has many benefits, as more and more women are finding out.

Will I Have to Enter Competitions?
Very few students want to enter competitions, but if any do they are free to do so.
